GHH-VALDUNES has developed a special safety steel and a specific heat treatment, resulting in the following outstanding characteristics:
- Great hardness of the running tread: up to 500 HB (or even more in certain cases).
- Great resistance to wear with a hardened depth of 35 mm. Continual evolution of the mechanical characteristics between the running tread and the hub.
- Great resistance to fatigue and cracking.
GHH-VALDUNES can also produce crane wheels in the material chosen by the Customer and in aaccordance to special processes adapted to the very specific characteristics required.
Forging with the 6000-ton press gives the wheels excellent grain flow and a high degree of finishing. The diameter of the wheels varies from 150 to 1400 mm with a weight which can exceed 2.5 tons. The wheels are supplied unwrought, machined or assembled with their accessories (shafts, roller bearings, boxes, gears, coupling halves ...).
In addition to the wheels as per standards DIN 15078, 15079 and 15090, SID 466, SIDMAR SV3-760, GHH-VALDUNES manufactures crane wheels in all the required dimensions.
